2014 Breachley Block is looking fantastic. We released it a couple of months ago and it has already been turning heads! Here are a few of the great reviews we have received so far. The wine drinks beautifully now but will also reward you with a couple of years in the cellar. Order on-line or drop in for a taste at the cellar door.

“Estate-grown, hand-picked, wild-fermented in new and used French barriques with lees stirring. Excellent wine with the length and intensity that is the hallmark of the Yarra Valley; it is fruit-driven, with pink grapefruit and white peach sharing the wine’s billboard, complexed by good acidity and savoury notes on the finish.”

“Funky kind of feel. Kicks off with struck match/flinty mineral suggestions and segues to stone fruit and just ripe melon scents with a puff of nougat oak character. Oak is well meshed in the palate too, showing a little creaminess among the racier fruit character. Character yet finesse.

“Once more unto the breach, dear friends, once more; Or close the wall up with our English dead.  Maniac flicking matches on fireworks night level of sulphide here, white peach, grapefruit and cashews. Medium bodied, smoky and tangy with a combination of peach and citrus, a silky honeyed glossiness meets flinty texture, and struck match again on a pretty long and convincing finish. Flavour, fine bones and winery work all at once. It works pretty well for me. Engaging wine.”
