2015 Ingram Road Sauvignon Blanc

Warmer weather is now upon us so it is time to dust off the shorts and cooler garments. The change in weather also heralds the change in the food and wine of choice. More seafood, more salads, more lighter fare and a lot less of those ‘stick to your ribs’ winter foods. The best wines to accompany the warmer weather foods are the aromatic whites. Sav Blanc fits this ┬ábill and we have just released a cracka!

As a general rule, 2015 was a great vintage for all varieties in the Yarra Valley and our Ingram Road Sauvignon Blanc is no exception. Light to medium bodied, pale straw in colour, it is perfumed, fresh and zesty, the term ‘frisky’ comes to mind. The palate combines fresh tropical fruit flavours with flint and crunchy acidity. Lovely clean finish with just a hint or subtle touch of fruit sweetness. Really do not have to think to hard with this wine. It smells, feels and tastes great. Just good old fashioned down right enjoyable to drink. Perfect with the lighter foods of the warmer season (or just on its own).
