From being born to farming, both Andrew and Robyn McIntosh (daughter of Roma and Lewis Nalder) pursued medical careers, before feeling the land call once more.

Andrew, who hails from New South Wales’s rice-growing district, studied medicine in Melbourne, while Mallee-born Robyn trained as a nurse.

They share a passion for creating fine wine, and together undertake the estate’s viticultural management and planning.

And just in case they might nod off in front of the fire in winter — when all’s quiet in the vineyard — they’ve kept their hands in medicine. Andrew combines his successful medical practice with his Helen’s Hill passion, while Robyn still practices in infant and maternal health. Their part of the crest is the serpent and cross, the international symbol for medicine.
