Helen's Hill Wines
At Helen’s Hill Estate our vineyard and wine making philosophy is quite simple: The land and the fruit are in charge – we do all the labour.
Wines made under the Helen’s Hill label epitomize this philosophy. The secret is ensuring the wine truly reflects what the vineyard provides. Fruit is hand picked from selected sites on our single vineyard and is then hand crafted by a single winemaker following traditional French winemaking methods.
Throughout the years we have selected certain areas of our single vineyard site that consistently produce outstanding fruit. These areas are cropped at minimal yields to further intensify the flavour profile. Come picking time, each bunch is hand selected. These selected parcels of fruit are fermented in the finest French oak (primarily new) under the watchful eye of winemaker Scott McCarthy. Prior to bottling each barrel is tasted and ranked with only the best barrels being selected for the Helen’s Hill range of wines.
