Helen's Hill 2025 'Candlebark' Pinot Gris

The 2025 Yarra Valley season delivered gentle warmth and steady ripening, producing a Pinot Gris with generous fruit and a beautifully rounded profile. This vintage leans into richness, offering a softer, more luxurious expression of the variety.

Golden straw with its signature grey tint, the wine lifts with aromas of ripe pear, lemon curd, and honeyed apple. The palate is plush and flowing, framed by gentle acidity that carries flavours of yellow peach, baked apple, and pear skin. The texture is creamy and seamless, with a subtle fruit-driven depth that lingers.

It’s an inviting, quietly indulgent Gris — the kind that settles in beautifully over a long lunch, shared plates, and good company.

Sourced from our Candlebark Block, where vines grow beside giant Candlebark eucalypts, this Pinot Gris was hand-picked at full flavour ripeness. The fruit was whole-bunch pressed to maintain delicacy, then fermented slowly in oak barrels for nine months to build richness and texture. Lees stirring added depth and a silky mouthfeel, balancing the vibrant acidity that defines the 2024 vintage. The result — a wine that marries freshness with finesse.

Think Thai seafood salad, creamy pasta with scallops, or a simple cheese platter with camembert and pear. It’s the ultimate “anytime” white — equally at home beside a summer lunch, a sunset barbecue, or a midweek takeaway that deserves an upgrade.
