Known for its intensity, perfume, and dark-fruited depth, it remains one of the most characterful Pinot Noir clones in the world.
In 2023, the Yarra Valley’s cooler, slow-ripening season allowed this expressive clone to show its finer, more elegant side. The wine is lifted and aromatic, shaped by the gentle rhythm of the vintage.
The nose brings dark cherry, wild strawberry, and soft spice. On the palate, it’s elegant but purposeful — red and black berry fruit layered with subtle earthiness and well-integrated oak. The natural acidity from the season provides clarity and length, giving the wine a clean, confident finish.
